Bobby is tastytrade’s latest Rising Star. He is a professor at the University of Alabama—Roll tide!—where he teaches finance and investment classes. The first thing he taught his students was how to sell a put. Before Bobby found tastytrade, he struggled with the ups and downs of trading like many others – a few good days, and some not-so-good days.

He began watching Tom and Tony in 2012 and became laser focused on tastytrade’s numerous research segments. He became so involved in the process he asked Tom Sosnoff to talk to his class about business development and the virtues of investing. He and Tom have become fast friends since.

Just like anyone else, with a little trial and error, he became well-versed in investing and has consistently made money over the years. In fact, during the COVID crash, his portfolio was up by a whopping 208%! Bobby and his wife, Beth, have five children, all adopted, where they live on a farm with goats, chickens, dogs, cats, ducks, and pigs.
